At the Texas Ballet Theatre School in Dallas, her work with young ballet students includes teaching the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus as well as her uniquely crafted conditioning program. Julie has designed a cross-training program to specifically accelerate a student’s technique, strength, flexibility, stamina and muscle memory. It is tailored to specific ages and abilities and is a combination of traditional Pilates, Boris Kniaseff floor barre, rehabilitative work and Progressing Ballet Technique’s stability ball exercises. These classes are part of the year-round and summer curriculum for the TBT Dallas School.
Julie Harrison is a certified Pilates instructor, receiving her certification from The Physical Mind Institute, and teaching in her Preston Hollow studio. She is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor. Her private studio clientele range from ballet students to individuals wanting increased flexibility and core strength to those referred by physical therapists for rehabilitative strengthening.
