Bubble baths relax me, soothe me and seamlessly steer me into dreamy quiet time. I use “bubble bath” loosely because I love experimenting with bubbles, salts, and essential oils. It is my meditative time at the end of a day, sometimes accompanied by music, a candle or sweet silence.
Lollia’s Relax Foaming Bath is one of my favorites with lavender, bee blossom honey, white orchid and a touch of Tahitian vanilla. Or simply putting a few drops of lavender oil (or an essential oil of your choice) into an Epsom salt bath is heavenly! But my current favorite is a combination of Magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt), Pink Himalayan Sea Salt and Bergamot essential oil. The aroma is divine and I’ll share with you just a few of their healing benefits.
We all have used Epsom salt at one time or another for sore muscles but it also easily absorbed through the skin and replenishes magnesium levels in our bodies which have been depleted from stress. In addition, it helps you relax, reduces irritability, and helps you sleep better because it lowers the effects of adrenaline in your body. Pink Himalayan sea salt has a unique salmon-colored hue due to the amounts of trace minerals such as manganese and phosphorus. These support bone health and help prevent osteoporosis. Bergamot essential oil comes from a citrus fruit that grows only in coastal southern Italy and is known for reducing anxiety and aids in digestion. A little known fact about Bergamot is that it is also rich in polyphenols which guard the body against certain diseases such as heart disease!
